This Cayman has about 2000 miles on it, and while it does look brand new, I’m not sure that I’d be willing to pay 50% again on top of the MSRP for what is essentially a used car. That said, it strikes me as a bit absurd that a Porsche dealer would be listing a Certified Pre-Owned GT4 for nearly fifty-thousand dollars more than the car’s original MSRP. Having studied economics, and auction results for the last few years, I am a firm believer that something is worth what people are willing to pay for it. The car has inspired a racing version, the Clubsport, that has already won its first race this season, and they always fly off the dealer floor when they are around. I know that I fell in love with the car when I drove it, and many owners have said the same. ![]() The Cayman GT4 is an excellent machine, possibly among the best Porsche has ever produced. Some of these cars could be great collection investments, while others might prove to do more financial harm than good. We’ve tracked down five more exciting Porsches for you nice people to purchase today, including a Brumos-aping Liberty Walk widebody 997, a paint to sample 991 GT3 RS, a 997 GT3 that needs some work, a 996 GT3 that looks like a great car, and an overpriced “market adjusted” Cayman GT4. So I took advantage of a 25% off coupon and got the replacement for $150+tax installed.īTW, that night I connected the maintainer overnight, then disconnected and let it set for an hour. While that's plenty to start the car, it was well below its rating, I usually only get 4 yrs out of a battery and I didn't want it to fail at an inconvenient moment. I had it tested and it only produced ~700 CCA and only about 12.25 V. ![]() It never failed to start the car but I noticed that my battery maintainer was taking longer to get a full (green light) charge. ![]() The 900CCA AGM was good (meaning the radio didn't reboot in the middle of a song) for over 3.5 yrs. That eliminated a momentary drop caused by the ignition switch. Once I even wired the headunit directly to the battery (as a test), and it still rebooted on startup. Its a minor annoyance but it tells me the power delivery is insufficient. But after a year, the voltage drop when cranking reset the NAV electronics. Any more info or knowledge you guys have would be appreciated greatly! -ALPįor my last two batteries (just replaced one last month) I used an H8. I just got her and I wanna drive her but she’s acting strange. I’m in SoCal and I’m not storing the car for winter, just a day or 2 or 3 not driving so idk about the trickle charging CTEK thing. I mean list goes on, I can’t find any thread or ‘exact’ answer or fix for this issue. Really not sure what issue could be? Some kinda parasitic draw draining it? Ignition switch? Positive cable to battery terminal that’s impossible to get strangely? Clutch interlock switch? Starter solenoid/switch? Crank position sensor? Immobilizer?. I’ve been reading these forums and all types of possibilities it could be (thanks to you guys, seriously!). I had to jump her using my other Jeep and this time airbag light comes on :/.then had to jump it again 2hrs later. Let her sit for 2 days and boom! Same damn problem as with the old battery. Boom! She starts fine! Drive a few days, all good. ![]() Got one from autozone, installed myself with the air hose and everything. Lights flash, windows go down, clicking but not cranking over. Got a PPI before I bought the car and they recommended new battery (2010, so. Hey all! I’m new to the community and Porsche ownership! Recently bought an 06 Cayman S (MT) with Bose CDR24 69kmiles.
